Gran Turismo 5 Brings in the Toyota FT-86

Toyota did a great job promoting the upcoming FT-86 concept in unique ways. Those in the Indianapolis area might remember or even have tried out the Social Network Racer game released for Facebook this past fall. Now, the creative automaker is giving fans another chance to get behind the wheel of an FT-86 before it hits lots like O'Brien Toyota at 2550 North Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46219.

Rounding out the games 2.02 update and new car pack, Gran Turismo 5 will offer a free, downloadable version of the FT-86. Now, with so many high-performing new Toyota models tearing through the streets, you may wonder why the automaker selected the FT-86 to hit this virtual road. Well, we aren't professional gamers but we do know this much: when it comes to video game racing, the faster, the better. And on that note, the upcoming Toyota coupe is perfect for the job.

In case you aren't all too familiar with the highly-anticipated FT-86, we'll fill you in on some of the key points. Pulling 197 ponies from its 2.0-L "D-4S" Flat-4 engine, the speedy model is actually the brain child of Toyota and Subaru. Both automakers will release variants of the lightweight sports car but you can bet your bottom dollar that the one arriving at O'Brien Toyota will proudly wear the Toyota name.

If you'd prefer to wait until the model takes life on the roads of Indianapolis, we understand. Simply stay tuned to our O'Brien Toyota blog for more information!
