Toyota’s CSRC Launches 11 New Research Studies
Recently, the Toyota Collaborative Safety Research Center (CSRC) announced that it is partnering with eight leading North American research institutions on 11 programs that will study the challenges and opportunities associated with emerging vehicle technologies. The programs are the first to be launched under CSRC Next, the center’s new program that supports a safe transition to future mobility.
The research projects will examine the impact of advanced technology on road safety trends, as well as the interactions between people and machines. They’ll also take a look at how to best integrate advanced safety systems, like automatic emergency braking, and passive safety systems. Programs will also study human experience design, driver state detection and how to best use analytics to improve the understanding of driving data.
